We are growing the next generation of cricketers in our community — and we need your help to do it.
Our junior team is the heart of youth cricket at the club. Competing in the local junior league, they provide a genuine pathway for young players to develop their game and progress into senior cricket.
Players develop their skills in a competitive but supportive environment, with the full backing of the senior club — access to our ground, coaching support, and a clear route into the senior teams.
What we offer
We would love to add younger age groups — but to do that, we need parents and volunteers to help lead them.
You do not need to be an expert cricketer. The club will support you with everything you need: ECB-approved coaching, access to equipment and the ground, help with league registration, and the full backing of the committee. If you have the enthusiasm to get kids playing, we will handle the rest.
Ages 5–8
A fun, non-competitive ECB programme introducing young children to cricket through games and activities. No experience needed to run it.
Ages 7–9
Non-competitive soft ball cricket in the local junior league. A great entry point for young players and an easy way to get involved as a parent volunteer.
Ages 9–11
Hard ball cricket in the local junior league. With support from experienced senior players, this could be up and running quickly with the right volunteers.
Donated bats, pads, gloves and helmets go directly to young players who need them. Every donation helps us keep junior cricket accessible for all families.
